In 2018 Marvel released the movie “Black Panther’. This movie set records for ticket sales and generated a pride and enthusiasm among black movie goers that is still lingering in the air. People are now excited because Marvel recently announced Black Panther 2 in 2022. Children everywhere put on Black Panther costumes for their Halloween parties and had Black Panther cakes for their birthday. The Little Golden Book series has contributed to the joy of sharing these stories by the creation of two fun and beautiful books for little children.
The first book, “Black Panther” tells the history of the black panther character, how he protects Wakanda and spreads his influence through out the world. You learn about Vibranium, his battle with Ulysses Klaue who become the Super Villain KLAW and others. In the second book, “Warriors of Wakanda” we learn about the powerful women of Wakanda. Okoye, the leader of the Dora Milaje is introduced along with Ayo. The super scientist Suri is introduced along with T’Challa’s mother Ramonda. These books show how all members of the Wakanda family work together to protect their homeland and its people.
I remember having Golden Books as the child and these books brought back those memories. You will enjoy sharing these books with the little ones in your life. The stories are interesting, and the artwork is colorful and fun. The Black Panther books will become favorites and you will get requests to read them over and over again.
